PPC Campaign for 2010 Elections

21 December 2009 No Comment

With the 2010 National Elections nearing, Filipino politicians are now invading the world-wide-web. The power of the web to educate the people is undeniable, US President Barack Obama tapped the power of the net in his presidential campaign which proves to be a wise decision.

Politicians nowadays are tapping the power of social networking sites to gain popularity, likewise, I’ve seen a lot of Google Ads linking to the sites of politicians running for the 2010 National Elections.

But this ad really caught my attention (it’s an ad on my personal blog).
PPC Campaign for 2010 Elections

The anchor text reads “Rapist of 11-yr Old Girl” and described as “Supported by Morally Corrupt, Manny Villar, Gibo Teodoro and Erap”, the link points to Mark Jimenez’s website. I’m not aware of any position that Jimenez is aspiring for which makes me wonder what’s the intention of such an ad? Or should I ask, who dunnit?
